Bidwill business park could generate big numbers

Slowing economy will hit Pinal County hardest

Pinal County will hurt the most as Arizona struggles through a slowing economy and housing market over the next few years, says Arizona economist and real estate consultant Elliott Pollack. WASHINGTON - Legislation to help borrowers get federal backing on home loans comes at a key time. An estimated 2 million to 2.5 million adjustable-rate mortgages are scheduled to reset in the next year, jumping to much steeper rates that could cost borrowers their homes. Median cost takes dive in home resales

Median prices fell to their lowest level in 2½ years as the number of housing resales slowed to a crawl in November. The median price in the Phoenix area fell 7 percent to $240,000 in November, compared with $259,000 a year earlier. That’s the lowest median since $235,000 in May 2005, according to Arizona State University’s Realty Studies.  More…
